Allison Novak

Allison is typically one of the first people you speak to or see when you call or come in for an appointment. She has worked in the healthcare field for several years and utilizes her experience to coordinate schedules and assist patients in navigating and enhancing their healthcare experience.

Allison earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 2011 and, shortly afterwards, started working in a front desk/administrative role in a conventional primary care doctors office. During that time, she developed an interest and a passion for nutrition and holistic/functional wellness after seeing how powerful it was in her own life. She looked for a role in the functional space and found that the core values at Advanced Metabolic & Functional Wellness Center mirrored her own.

Also, wanting to know more than just her own experience, she went back to school to enhance her knowledge and be a further asset to patients. She obtained health coaching certification through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and is currently working on her Masters degree in Nutrition and Integrative Health in an online program at Maryland University of Integrative Health.

When she is not studying or working, Allison enjoys playing with her puppy Chester, listening to music, reading a good book, finding new recipes to tweak, crafting, and traveling.
